Scalefour Cumberland is organised as part of the Workington Model Railway Exhibition (Solrail). The exhibition enjoys an enviable reputation for presenting a wide range of working model railways and friendly demonstrations of modelling techniques such as track making, tree making, locomotive and wagon kit building, and digital command control. It aims to represent all the popular scales, together with model engineering, computer simulation (railworks), traditional and heritage model railways through to the latest digital equipment. It is a family show that encourage family groups which is why there is no entry fee for accompanied children.
