The 2023 show guide is now available for download at https://www.scalefour.org/scalefoursouthwest/
It promises to be a great event and is in less than two weeks...

Surprised to see no current reference to this show in Wells. If you have not been yet I recommend coming on Sunday. Lovely layouts, good traders & well worth the visit if you can make it. If you can’t then you have missed an excellent show.

Excellent day yesterday. Lots of photos, chats, products bought and others on list for future sales now I've physically checked them out. This is the value of shows.
Ordsall Road (BR(E)), Forge Mill Sidings (BR(M)), Kirkcliffe Coking Plant (BR(E)), Swanage (BR (S)) and Heaby (LMS/MR). Acquired Thorneywood (GNR). Still trying to "Keep the Balance".

Really enjoyed the weekend and great to see so many familiar faces again. Well done to Chris and the Wells Railway Fraternity. Didn’t manage to go last year so the first Railwells for 4 years given the lockdown. Already looking forward to next year!

Back, not exhausted. The layout attracted a lot of favourable comments, and has been invited back - Railwells 2026 which will be 200 years after it is set!

I would like to echo the above comments. I didn't get to see much of the show but that's demonstrating for you. Thanks to everyone who showed an interest in what I was doing and thanks to Chris and his team for putting on a great show. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

Had a great time even if it was a bit rushed on Saturday afternoon. Went back to the car park to put the £4 in the milk churn as I didn't have the change on me on earlier and by the time we had gone to the Italian in the marketplace and then bought one of the amazing flapjacks from Flapjackery, the churn had gone. I made an effort to go back on Sunday and popped the coins in then.
Sunday was tourist day so Bishop's Pałace (well worth it), and Glastonbury Tor. Don't bother with Glastonbury town unless you are into Capitalist Pagan Tosh and as Maria put it "dirty, smelly people" (spaced out aged hippies). I've seen cleaner loco crews. Though I found Glastonbury Station canopy in a car park!
In the evening we found the newest and in our opinion the best pub all weekend; Sheep & Penguin, Wells. It only opened on Friday but was excellent. Cathedral visit this morning and I even saw the two level crossing houses of the old Shipston on Stour branch.
Hopefully we'll be back in Wells next August.

We've yet to try that, but I have no doubts it was excellent. It's managed by Yan, who used to run our nearest pub in Chew Magna. All of 200 yards away from home, it has the best kept beer and the best food of the pubs in the village.
We'll have to pop over and try it before next RailWells, if it's anything like a nice as he kept the Queens.

It's fantastic being down in this part of the world
