Re: Scaleforum 2023: 23-24 September
Just to add to all the positive messaging on here. I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, although from my demo table I didn't actually see much of the show... I hadn't the chance.
My thanks to the organising team for putting it all together, and to the many interesting visitors I chatted with over the course of the weekend who made it special.
I was so busy that I know there must have been folks interested in Martin's Plug Track in particular who may have felt they didn't get the chance to chat as much as they would have liked. If you were one of those, then do please contact me either via PM on here or by email, makeitminiature [at] outlook.com. I will make time for a chat and help you to get started.
My best wishes,
James

Just a note to add to the chorus of praise for ScaleForum 2023 and everybody who worked so hard to make it a success.
I really enjoyed the opportunity to attend an "in person" event and the venue is just right with a light and spacious air. It was a pleasure to see the layouts, traders, demos and lectures and I found everybody involved to be very helpful and cheerful.
My only regret is not finding the time to enjoy an afternoon coffee and a slice of one of the tempting cakes on offer.
Here's to doing it all again next year!

We have a saying this side of the pond. “If there are no pictures it didn’t happen….”

Neil,
Sorry for the lack of photos. I know that some of the Stewards took some photos which will be made available for viewing in due course.
Rest assured it did happen...!

There are two links, on consecutive posts, on Western Thunder. I don't know if you have to be logged in, though.

Myself and Natalie took quite a few photos between us all weekend. Primarily this was for use in update if required, but we've offered gavin full use as he sees fit of all of them once I've had a chance to organise them and put them on WeTransfer (probably requires 3 WeTransfer transfers as there's so much plus video clips).
I'm still kinda recovering from the weekend, but I will post some here if I get chance before the weekend, otherwise next week

If you're not a member, you will only get thumbnail photos. Membership is free, so no reason not to sign up.
Cheers

Putting these photos here for reference, as on Western Thunder it's not clear which layout is which, though there are much better photos than these.
Iain Rice Cade Green
Wheal Elizabeth
Lower Rose Goods
Yard No 2
Brinkley
Parkend Marsh Sidings
Sandford and Banwell
]
Eccleston
Chatsworth Road
Eastwood
Apologies for varying quality and quantity, and that I didn't take any of the guest 2mm scale layouts. Also, that I don't seem to be able to delete the attachments below

The pictures you want to delete have not been placed in line.
Hover the curser over them to check the file names, then click the pencil icon to edit the post, go to the attachment tab at the bottom, find the 6 unwanted file names, delete from the list then save the edit.
A great set of pics anyway with or without the 6 at the bottom.

Thanks Keith. Done the edit now, found the image number comes up when hovering over each picture having clicked on the pencil icon and gone into the editing mode. Also thanks to the layout creators for your great display for our enjoyment. Good to see a significantly larger number of people at the show than last year.

Re: Scaleforum 2023: 23-24 September
For those of you planning your exhibition attendance for next year I can now confirm that Scaleforum 2024 will be held over the weekend of 21st and 22nd September 2024. The venue and caterers are booked.
This date avoids the diary clash with the Stafford show which may help some of our traders who want to be able to attend both shows.
More details in due course….
