Fylde Area Group (April 2018)

Postby mike_t_norris » Mon May 07, 2018 6:30 pm

The 19th April saw the group meet with seven members present and apologies from four.

On the whole a fairly quiet evening, with little to report save for the fact that I had purchased a number of local signal box diagrams, which are now adoring the railway room.

Below are posted some photographs from John James of a locomotive he had just completed for a customer that had to be shipped before the meeting. It is a Highland Railway Code Bogie (Jones ‘Bruce’ class) in early LMS livery. It does look rather fine, well done John!

PLEASE NOTE Due to diary conflict the next meeting will be a ‘run and natter’ session, on Thursday 24th May, starting 7:30pm for 8:00pm. (NOT THE USUAL THIRD THURSDAY). Please contact myself the organiser (details on the Blue Sheet) for more information.

I'm not normally a fan of a pre-group loco receiving a post-grouping livery - but in this case it looks splendid.
Make Worcestershire great again.
Build a wall along the Herefordshire border and make them pay for it.

This is surely the same loco as the one on 'Highland Miscellany" ... wonderful
