So there's not been any post for a couple of years, but the group is still alive.
Progress has been slow on the extension to Awrhyllgwami Quarry, but things are gathering pace once more. Conversion of the layout into a continuous run has made a significant step forward with the viaduct temporarily in place and the track being laid, as shown with Richard and Rob hard at work in the attached photos.
We typically meet on the the afternoon of the second Sunday of each month, so the next session is planned for Sunday 9th October 2016. Drop me a PM if you'd like to come along and see what we are up to.

A very impressive viaduct indeed! That looks really full of character.
More importantly, the photos reveal a plentiful supply of mugs of tea and chocolate digestives
A proper toolkit for finescale modelling...
Cheers

Awrhyllgwami Quarry was one of the entries for the Society's Diesel and Electric layout competition which took place in 2008. Looks like things are progressing well and we will have to have you back to Scaleforum at some stage when you feel ready. One or two layouts for 2018 are already lined up so you might want to make that a target....

2018 might be a tad optimistic. However, in the meantime there is always Rob Ward's Danby. Here's a couple of pictures from the recent show in Redcar.

Chris Danby is looking very nice. I do like NER layouts.

OK how about 2019 or 2020?

That would do nicely.

Re: TOERAG is Alive and moving
We've made a big push over the holiday and this Sunday were able to run a test train around the inner circuit. The plan for next Sunday is to run it around the outer circuit subject to getting a bit of wiring completed first.
