Hi,
Has anybody any ideas where I will find M1 and M1,4 (or correspondence BA) lefthanded taps and dies (for making working screw couplings)?

Hi Petri,
You could try Tracy Tools in the UK.
They claim to have all metric taps from M1 to M30 with both right-hand and left-hand threads available.
I have no connection with them, other than as a satisfied customer. Their mail order service is very good also.

If Tracy doesn't have what you want, try http://www.tapdie.com (or http://www.tap-die.com).

Hmm, 16BA dies on special at £50), reduced from £120, Tracy knocks em out for £12,
And you need to get down to 16BA if you are modelling in P4 or P87, 1mm will be too big.
Anyway if its any help you can find drawings of the wagon couplings here http://www.norgrove.me.uk/couplings.htm

It's a little known engineering secret that you can make left hand threads just by turning a right hand tap or die, anti-clockwise.
