NAG Meeting 23rd February 2017
Seven members attended this pleasant meeting.
Bevis was fixing bolections to his PHEONIX kits of LSWR Ironclad corridor coaches.
Len continued with his 9F.
Paul was riveting sleepers for our layout.
Tony Wilkins and Ken Kirk were adjusting some pointwork on the test track. A slider bar of a C&L Tortoise adaptor plate was sticking a little. Cured by interspersing some clear Fablon between the bar and the underside of the baseboard. Another turnout was developing a nervous tic until the room warmed up. Tony thought this might be due to the Paxolin in the Servo 4 absorbing atmospheric moisture. Tony cured this with a hair dryer.
Steve was researching / correlating service dates for 9F engines.
Ken passed on Bob’s request for further photos for the stand.
Ken Kirk
Area Coordinator.

I hasten to add that the hair drier was borrowed, I don't have much use for one these days.
Re: NAG Meeting 23rd February 2017
They (hair dryers) are an essential modelling aid. My wife, who hates long hair, has no use for one, but we actually own two - one in my workshop on the top floor, the other in the basement (where trackbuilding and occasional spray painting takes place). I always assumed every area group would have one in their standard toolkit ...

Am I correct in believing that this Thursday's meeting will be a manicure night? If so I will definitely bring my files for shaping and my airbrush for nail art.
NAG meetings are something else.

And so it goes.
NAG will be performing live without the aid of a safety net at Nottingham on the 18th and 19th March.
Do pop along and see us if you can.
