Sorry, Paul. You have JG (unmistakable) but that's not Tony Gee with the shovel.

For example on our traders and suppliers page. It also works on the other pages, but there are less examples to see...

Third try at this post.

How do I get a badge to say that I'm going?

Which entry are you in the links pages? I'll see what I can do.

Hi Richard, are we at cross purposes here? If you mean name badges for individuals then:

From the Show Guide in February's Scalefour News - it says:

No Mistaken Identities
Some of us have problems remembering our own names, let alone those of others. If you would like to remind other visitors of
your identity then name badges can be created at the Scalefour Society stand. For that professional touch, email your details to
badge4scale4north@scalefour.org at least one week before the show and your badge will be available for collection at the show.

All the Best
Danny

Following on from my earlier posting, the steam railtour through Wakefield on Saturday has been cancelled due to the Network Rail safety ban on WCRC.

Here's the first Doug, of the Society Stand in full swing, even though doors have only been open 50 mins.

I've also updated our website, to reflect that, as noted on their website, C+L have had to pull out this weekend.

Cracking weekend! We called in at Elsecar on the way back to view the Newcomen engine.

Don't forget the AGM.

8 of the BS4 group went North and 12 came back!
The extra 4 being clones now on various camera cards and laptops for future fun.
Thanks to Alan Buttler for scanning us :ugeek:

The trip to Elsecar was good, free entry to the general heritage site and the guide, Nigel Kavanagh, very knowledgeable. I recommend any other parties to get together for a guided tour.
The Newcomen engine is under restoration so not fully open to the public yet, but soon will be. It is operated hydraulically.
Meanwhile a tour costs £45...Ok if spread over a big group.

We have our own down here in Dartmouth. It is electrically operated for demonstration.

True and I have seen it.
The Elsecar Newcomen of c 1790 is a late model but has the added interest of being the only one still in its original location and enginehouse.
Some of the machine is original, but the aged broom rule applies as it worked for a long time and bits got replaced as necessary.

Cheers Paul, glad you guys had a go! :thumb

It was a great weekend, putting some faces to names and catching up with folks. It was 12 months ago that I went to my first Scalefour exhibition and bought my first P4 chassis, a Pannier from Chris Gibbon. That experience inspired me in many ways and this years has done the same. Thanks to the organisers for a top weekend and supplying me with tea when I most needed it!

I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Scalefour North.

Having planned in advance an extensive spending spree I somewhat lost my nerve and didn't hammer the debit card as hard as I might. Nonetheless I came away with plenty of goodies, having concentrated in particular on bottles of stuff that Royal Mail now treats as hazardous.

Live band and a bevy at the Bull and Fair House rounded off Saturday to a treat, whilst on the Sunday I enjoyed an impressively rapid first-time run up the ECML (going back with Crosscountry via the direct route would have involved a bus leg to Gloucester - no thanks!). Even an eighteen down departure from Reading leading to a missed connection at Taunton couldn't take the shine off two special days - my thanks to all who made it so.

Yes, echo the many appreciative comments posted already - well done indeed, James and Team, for much hard work in preparation. This really felt more like the S4N of old; the New Venue issues receding considerably. A rich vein of varied chats with mates old and new, many new tips, and I particularly enjoyed this year's array of layouts -to the detriment of attending the demo's; over the two days I wore a rut between Black Gill (awaiting the 9Fs and hoppers) and Portchullin (throaty diesel evocations of my earliest Highlands holidays) over the two days, as personal favourites, but ALL had plenty to inspire; so many thanks to all the builders and operators, not forgetting the traders. Nice one.

364 days and counting.......
