Interesting that so many people like the Tamiya spray packs. I really like the satin black which is what my Q6 received and one of our local members was astonished by. I will continue to use them even though I have an air brush when there is the right colour.

Their undercoat spray is excellent.

Now I have had problems with the Tamiya acrylic sprays when being oversprayed with cellulose (ie car sprays). The acrylic is softened and then crazes; it dries back slower than the cellulose, so the crazing remains.

Yes you can only spray over Tamiya with enamel or water based paint. Cellulose will cause cracking.

Worth noting perhaps that Tamiya 'NATO Black', being a sort of faded black/ultra-dark grey, is a good choice for (road) vehicle tyres. Surprisingly, it also works well for NATO IRR camouflage schemes. Many of Tamiya's colour names aren't quite what they appear to be (or have suffered in translation from those strange characters of the original).
