Hi Chris

I am assuming you mean a BG like this http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://userland.fotopic.net/logos/264631.gif&imgrefurl=http://andy-gibbs.fotopic.net/&usg=__cap3S5sQ20OYac07CbgoL-4rww0=&h=808&w=986&sz=245&hl=en&start=7&um=1&tbnid=a-3e1V7z1aM_aM:&tbnh=122&tbnw=149&prev=/images%3Fq%3DBritish%2Brail%2BBG%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dcom.google:en-US:official%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1
and not a GUV like this http://www.modelfair.com/acatalog/ba200540.jpg

The Mk1 BG is shorter than the rest of the fleet. Lima compromised and used the full length chassis when they produced their model thus its wrong. The Replica and Bachmann ones are correct although being newer the Bachmann one is the better of the 2.

Both Lima and Bachmann do GUVs which are both accurately narrower and not as tall as normal mk 1 coaches. Again the Bachmann one is newer and the better model
