Our August meeting was attended by nine members. Not able to attend were Len Newman (celebrating his birthday), Nick E who was at work and occasional visitor Paul Willis (who is usually attending a business dinner on our meeting dates). Sadly it was our first meeting without Philip Martin.

We were able to make some progress on our next actions on the Lavenham project (which will shortly become the subject of a separate thread). The finalised track plan had been drawn out by Len and printed out by Angus. This was scaled from the photos available and had some "adjustments in the goods yard area,(the OS map previously used by Richard H and Angus was apparently a bit inaccurate in that area). The points, crossing and slip for the "main line" had already been made and the others are underway or have been allocated to volunteer builders!

Here - starting from bottom left, Richard M, Paul, Andy, Keith, Peter, Richard H, Angus (standing) and Mike - study the final track plan while mulling over our next moves.

We also shared some of our latest model making exploits, NER wagons by Paul, some 3D printing by Angus (including some superb Princess chimneys) and my partly built LNWR Jubilee.

We will also be supporting the CSMEE "meet the neighbours" day to be held at held at the club venue in two weeks time, with a display of 4mm scale modelling, to contrast the live steam models.
