NEEAG online meetings

Postby Jol Wilkinson » Sat May 01, 2021 8:50 am

The latest bi-weekly NEEAG meeting took place on Thursday 29th April.

Nine members joined in a widely ranging discussion. In addition to current modelling activities including building Parkside wagons, baseboard building, re-learning Templot and the availability of P4 driving wheels (and the advantages of the different types), we discussed a number of topics. These included the impact of Covid on model railway shows and our thoughts about attending these when the opportunities arise again, means of disposing of collections of model railway items (mainly RTR and Hornby Dublo), online advert blocking software and sending flowers that can be posted through a standard letter box. We also discussed a recent theory that the Trevithick designed Cornwall 2-2-2 may have been the first locomotive to have achieved 100mph, although the only recorded information is that she did achieve 70mph in 1884 down Whitmore bank between Crewe and Chester.

What delights will our next meeting hold?
