NAG Meeting 10th May 2018

Postby RobM » Tue May 15, 2018 6:03 am

7 members attended. Numbers are lower than usual due to holidays and illness, but we
contrived to look busy for our visitor
The group was honoured by the presence of Chris Mitton, Society Treasurer, who came on a
social visit. He has wanted to visit for some time as, in his words, we get things done.
So what did we do?
John Slack was working on trackwork for the Group layout.
David Clarke was soldering up some W irons.
Ken Kirk was building parapets for a GN bridge.
Bevis Heap was building some Cambrian wagon kits.
Howard Bolton was working on his famous lever frame the levers of which are now painted.
Martin Nield was starting work on a new locomotive kit. A High Level Stephenson and
Hawthorn 0-4-0.
And Tony Wilkins was fettling an E16 turnout for his Brimsdown layout.
Chris had a chat with all of us about our work and discussed signalling theory with Howard .
All in all, a good evening.
Ken Kirk
Group coordinator

I was going to come down tonight (31st), but as shiftwork so messes your body clock up, I thought it was Wednesday.
Builder of Forge Mill Sidings, Kirkcliffe Coking Plant, Swanage and Heaby. Still trying to "Keep the Balance".
