NAG Meeting 25th January 2018

Postby RobM » Mon Jan 29, 2018 7:40 am

11 of the usual suspects attended. Two others reported in sick and are reminded that self-certification of absence only applies to the first week, any extended sick leave will require either a doctor’s note or a letter from a parent or guardian. As one of these members is already a GP, a second opinion may be sought! The other was a journalist so he could write his own!
What a productive evening it was with:
Nigel working on the overbridge for his model of Cupar Station.
David assembling a Lanarkshire Models’ chassis for a Fowler 6-wheeled tender.
Howard continuing with production of locking gear for a lever frame; having lost his piece- workers for the evening he managed to press-gang Ken into some soldering and filing tappets.
Tony Wilkins assisting Richard with working on his track-work for the NAG layout.
Paul waiting breathlessly in the wings, also wishing to consult the master track-work builder.
John Slack, having finalised his experiments last week, painting track-work.
Tony Frank working on a Rumney Models wagon underframe for a shock wagon.
Brian continuing with his work on a Midland 3-plank wagon.
Your’s truly working on the Comet Models underframes for my DJH Coronation kit.

Forthcoming attractions
10th Feb. Lathe Workshop at Bolton Towers. Terry Bendall presiding.
3rd March 2018. ‘Modeller’s Day’ at Risley Village Hall. (as 6th Jan).
17/18th March 2018, Nottingham Show when NAG will be manning the Scalefour Stand, probably the NAG test track and the possibility of a demonstration desk. Bevis will provide further details and seek volunteer support as the event approaches.
