Postby RobM » Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:01 am

Eleven members attended the meeting.
Most members were working on their own projects as follows:
. Brian Slater was producing wooden mineral wagons from Slaters kits. He had found a problem with the POW sides transfers lifting after being applied last week. David Clark advised him to try Transfix supplied by Carrs.
. David was continuing the construction of 3 plank LNW wagons from Ratio kits.
. Tony Wilkins was producing a B6 ply and rivet turnout for David’s engine shed diorama.
. Nigel Fawcett was constructing some card steps for his Cupar overbridge.
. Ken Kirk was manufacturing some 1:10 crossing Vs for his layout.
. Peter Mcfarlane was singeing his fingers soldering up an etched Chivers SECR Brake van.
. Yours truly was producing crossover point blades for the club layout.
. Howard Bolton was assembling and testing a knitting machine, sorry point and signal interlocking mechanism, for Leeds Wellington.
. S & T slaves Bevis Heap and Martin Neild were again assembling nibs for Howard. I bet they don’t have a problem sleeping after doing this?
. John Slack was busy carrying out his treasurer duties by doing a trial balance. Paul Morris was taking interest in all the activity and especially Howards ‘knitting machine’.
