Pendleton Bogie Instructions...

Postby iak » Sun Mar 05, 2023 3:45 pm

Having done some tidying up the past few days, I have come across some auld Mitchell/Pendleton coach bogies. Does anyone have a set of instructions they could copy and let me have please? Thanks in anticipation... :thumb

Can someone advise how to attach files to PMs please. That kind Mr Bradwell is having issues how to do it and I cannot see how to either...

While you don't have an "attachments" tab on the PM screen, you can still drag and drop a file into the message, then the attachement list appears and you can add the required document in line in the PM.

Or have you both tried this and it hasn't worked? In which case exchange email addresses.

Attachments are not accepted in PMs as we did not want to fill up our server with lots of files that are not visible to the members. As indicated use the email facility for that.
Or maybe Chris would be happy to have his instructions added here, https://www.scalefour.org/members/notes/manufacturers-instructions

Perfectly happy myself for them to be publicly available but Dave Bradwell has all the commercial rights and it is he who should be asked. I should say that the Mk 1 design has recently been superceded by a thoroughly updated Mk 2 which follows the same principles but which Dave has re-engineered in areas like bearing carriers and bolster design, aiding assembly. They appear on his web site. The Mk 1 is still perfectly functional and published instructions for them would be helpful to any who still have stocks..

Keith, I tried the email Iak facility but could see no way of attaching files there either.

Having just read what's required to add instructions to the site, I see I'm down for watching television tonight, to use a quote.

Gentlemen, I now have all the instructions.
Dave sent them to me via email - light reading and musing has ensued... :thumb

Thanks to all

Posted this earlier but it just disappeared -
Yes, it was easy to sort out Ian once I had his email and this seems the easiest way for the number of requests I get. I have scanned versions of some instructions - there's not many out there could open a Wordperfect file, for example and my current laptop even has a paddy with many doc files. The CAD people lead here and there is now much improved ability to read old files following the usual initial downward trend.

Not directly but it gets you into email contact so you can do as you have done.

One of those things where the instructions have to be long winded but its not so hard when you do it. If you would like some of yours added you can just email them to me and I'll add them.
