Hi All
I vaguely remember a supplier producing transfer sheets for signal arms. My painting isn't really up to what I'd like.
Any ideas who it was?
thanks
David

Hi David
I know Railtec Transfers produce some, though I haven’t used these myself

I suspect you are thinking of Hall Royd Junction http://www.hall-royd-junction.co.uk/Pro ... x.html#4mm

Re: transfers for signals?
I think you might be refering to the Chiltern Models transfers. I had a look for these but the only on-line reference I found was here:-
http://www.hall-royd-junction.co.uk/Pro ... sfers.html
No doubt a further search would get a result.
However, when I tried these some years ago I did not get on well with them - probably my fault. Instead, I went for self adhesive vinyl which sounds a dreadful idea but I think works well for 'modern' enamel arms where the finish is always glossy,
... but might not work for painted wooden arms where a more matt finish would be typical. Spectacles were done using PVA glue painted with Anita's Glass Paints (Hobbycraft) though Tamiya also do transparent paints.
I was given this stuff, but it is available from a million on-line sources.
hope that helps,

Hi David,
I too have a vague recollection of some waterside transfers for signal arms. Try MSE, I think it may have been them.
John.

You might follow Mick Nich's advice and use Solartrim which is used to cover model aircraft. There's an extra thin version, I think. If you can manage the base colours, perhaps just use this stuff to add the stripes. Check you get them in the right place - a large percentage of folk and some drawings, don't.

Just to support this, I would mention that Mick Nich was the person who donated the materials I used. I therefore would assume that Solartrim is the material in my photo.

Dave,
Try www.hall-royd-junction.co.uk
They appear to have a good selecsignals.transfers for both upper and lower quadrant signals.
John.
