I'm building some ex LNER and BR fish vans for Humber Dock and everything's gone reasonably fine so far. For the first time I'm using Bill Bedford's springing units which went together nicely and I was getting really rather cocky - this finescale stuff isn't really that hard, etc., etc. -
but then I came to fitting the Parkside clasp brakes.
Their support wants to go just where the springing unit is, and dissecting them to make them fit will, I just know, be a disaster, as I will be left with tiny bits to stick with very little "land" with which to stick them.
I wonder what others do? I see that BB does some very nice clasp brake etchings as part of his LNER wagon underframes but to use them would mean throwing out the other 98% of the kit - ridiculous. Is there anywhere I can get just a lot of etched clasp brakes, which I could then solder on to the BB W iron supports?

Re: Clasp Brakes
Use the cast ones from wizard models. I think they are designed with the BB w irons in mind
