Any suitable exhibits - Pampisford?

Postby barhamd » Tue Jul 05, 2016 12:15 pm

My brother, ex-editor of GERS journal and member of Cambridge University Railway Society, was approached by the Burwell Museum who are running an event on 11th August 2pm-5pm. The topic of the day is "Trains through Burwell" celebrating the Cambridge
to Mildenhall Branch line and its Swaffham to Fordham Section.

Hi

I am hoping that you might be able to help.

I have been approached by Burwell Museum to help exhibit on 11 August
between 2 and 5pm.

The topic of the day is "Trains through Burwell" celebrating the Cambridge
to Mildenhall Branch line and its Swaffham to Fordham Section.

I am reaching out to you because of your privilage as a club to ride the
last passenger service on the line!I run a commission studio for weathering
models, and my home display really isnt portable nor high quality, so I am
hoping that someone from your club might be free that afternoon to bring a
club layout to Burwell for the afternoon?

Hope you can help.

Not sure if anyone in CHEAG is able to suggest anything suitable, Maybe even just taking a couple baseboards of Pampisford as a static display might be nice?

thanks

I'll forward that on to the CHEAG email list...
