CHEAG raid on St Albans

Postby Paul Willis » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:54 pm

One of the things discussed at the CHEAG meeting last night was the forthcoming St Albans Model Railway Exhibition. This is in two weekends' time, on 15 & 16 January.

Around three or four of us were intending to go to the show, with a common agreement on visiting on the Sunday. If other Society members would like to join us, or meet up at the show, just shout up and we'll see what we can arrange.

The show details are at http://www.cmra.org.uk/stalbans.html

There are two P4 layouts there: Halifax King Cross and Ogden Fold. There is also good trade support, including the invaluable Eileen's. I hope to see some of you there...

Nice one Chris. I'm sure that I'll spot you anyway :-)

I've never been to the show before, so I don't know the layout of the halls. However with two P4 layouts there it helps.

I suggest meeting at 11.30am next to Halifax King Cross. That gives folk plenty of time to arrive, and we can all say hello to Steve Hall, the Scalefour North chief!

If there's any difficulty at any point, you can find my mobile number on the Blue Sheet.

Cheers

I'm also hoping to be there around that time, so will try to get to say hello.

Make Worcestershire great again.
Build a wall along the Herefordshire border and make them pay for it.

It's a good show, but it does get very crowded and the isles are a little narrow.

I used to go regularly, but I'm getting ready for the Southampton show this year.
