This is a general query, not directly related to P4, but calling on the expertise of fellow P4 modellers because I can be confident that there is a degree of agreement on what constitutes quality modelling.
I know Shapeways isn't necessarily the route of choice for 3D printing, but I'm trying to find information about the materials on there. In particular the difference between premium, fine detail, smooth fine detail, and multi-jet fusion. I have listed them in order of price, so I'm assuming this might also relate to comparitive smoothness. In paricular I'm interested to know how useful they would be for representing a smooth metal panel.
This query is not about alternatives to Shapeways. I am well aware that other printers can produce cheaper output of high quality. Unfortunately the designer I am interested in only uses Shapeways.
Shapeways materials comparison sought.
Includes workshop practice, painting and weathering, model photography etc.
