No experience [except at the dentist...], but apparently the wavelength of the uv light is fairly critical, and uv permeability (or not) of the materials can be an issue:

The material in the link you posted appears to come with its own uv light. Other makes are available, including through Ebay and Amazon...

Why not, Tim? It may be a better bet in some situations.
Adhesives are increasingly used in industry nowadays in applications where other fixing methods might have been used in the past.
