Websites

Postby David B » Sat Apr 30, 2011 4:14 pm

Whilst searching on the web, I came across the following websites which have tools and materials useful to the modeller. They are new to me and may be of interest to some of you.

EMA Model Supplies: http://www.ema-models.co.uk/index.php/
Proops http://www.proopsbrothers.com/

Both are UK businesses. I can't tell if the EMA prices include VAT though their terms say the price on the web is what you pay. If this is so, then a quick comparison of some power tools show them to be quite a bit cheaper than Axminster Power Tools http://www.axminster.co.uk/

Squires http://www.squirestools.com/ and Eileen's http://www.eileensemporium.com/ apart, has anyone any more interesting or useful websites they might like to share?

On an earlier thread there was talk of hollow, jewellers pliers. I ordered some from this site and they arrived in 2 days. Excellent service.

Make Worcestershire great again.
Build a wall along the Herefordshire border and make them pay for it.

http://www.nogginend.com/
Suppliers of metals and engineering plastics

http://www.shesto.co.uk/
A well known supplier to most of tools etc.

https://maccmodels.co.uk/
Probably better known to adherents of the larger scales. Prices of fasteners compares favourably to other suppliers

http://www.soldering-shop.co.uk/catalog/
I imagine they are well known. Well worth a look and prices compare favourably

regards

Nigel
