Most important note: The next CRAG meeting will be on Saturday 25 September 2021 at Kirkby Stephen Midland Railway Station Masters house starting with a lunchtime meal in the town. If you can make it and have not been in touch then Stephen Paulin needs to be informed. Details on the Blue sheet.
An update to the groups changes is long overdue. Meetings did continue up until Covid 19 stopped everything.
Stephen is now living permenantly in Kirkby Stephen and has taken over the role of group cordinator, again. I have more than enough organising of other groups and family commitments so welcome the break.
Sad news is that Chris King sadly lost his battle with illness and passed away on Friday 4 October 2019, so our trips to Glasson to help him with his layout have come to an end. We are still in touch with Jean and a number of us have been to visit and take her out for the occassional meal as and when Covid resteictions allow.
Ian Everett was made an offer on his house that he felt he could not refuse so upped sticks in April this year and is living back in Oxford, where he hopes to join the local group there. This does mean that we will not be venturing outside the county boundary to partake of the excellent beers in Askrigg in the future, unless of course you know different.
Other group members have continued with their modelling projects and it will be nice to finally meet up and find out how things have progressed.
Hopefully, with Stephen back at the controls, we can move forward into the strange world that includes Covid 19.
Philip
