CRAGies last meeting

Postby dcockling » Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:32 pm

At the last minute we changed the venue for our last meeting from Windermere to Askrigg, which meant that Brian Lewis, Phil and Sheila Tuer, Bob Ellis and I could attend. We followed the now usual routine, of a walk to a pub for a decent lunch and a pint, followed by a return for the main business. This time we had two trainsets to play with. Admittedly operating Royston Vasey is not very demanding but it looks cute. I had built it to meet the Workington MRC’s challenge to build a layout with a footprint of less than five square feet. Sadly their show was washed out by the infamous floods but has been re-scheduled for 20th/ 21st February, so we hope to see lots of S4Soc members supporting us. The other was my permanent layout which is slowly being converted from ex GWR Belle View to ex LNWR Bradford. We had a good session which allowed many operating niggles to be identified.
