CRAG Meeting 11 July 2019

Postby SteamAle » Sat Aug 10, 2019 11:14 pm

Back to Askrigg again this month, after all the problems encountered last time when we met in Swaledale, well some of us did. Ian and David did not waste their time with an enforced stay in Askrigg following a puncture. Lots of work on the layout was carried out, as we were to discover! Before that we had to adjourn to the Crown for our fix of Real Ale and steak pie with chips.

If you look at the following photographs you will be able to see some of the work that Ian had managed to do since our last visit. Stuart took charge of the fiddle yard, which allowed Ian to actually run trains to his sequence to see how well it worked. General operation was much improved thanks to David's work on some of the track. The mobile phones and tablet worked well, although there was the occasional runaway due to operators forgetting to ensure they had stopped a locomotive completely before taking charge of another!

The day was rounded off with the obligatory tea and scones etc.
