CRAG Meeting 9/1/14

Last Thursday three CRAGies, David Beale, Ron Tyler and myself, met to operate Clecklewyke. Ron's wife Patsy, their terrier Bess (4-legged, not 6-wheeled) and my wife Betsy joined us for an excellent lunch in the Crown.

While Patsy and Bess explored the real Mill Gill on foot and Betsy got on with her journalism, we three spent the afternoon on a pretty successful run through the new timetable, to give Clecklewyke a good trial in preparation for Scalefour North in April. The session pointed up the need for more operator training and some tweaks to the trackwork, especially cassette joints, both of which were already on the to do list.

2-6-4T on Mill Gill viaduct (Shame about the tree which sticks out like a sore thumb, or maybe like a piece of twisted wire covered in Polyfilla - amazing how a photograph shows up things which are not obvious to the naked eye!)
