Ferreting in my workshop, I came across a dozen Linka moulds. I had completely forgotten such things existed. I must have used them more than 30 years ago.

I have cleaned off the Plaster of Paris (filthy stuff) and wondered - has anyone tried using them with resin?

I take it you have read the Linka FAQs here?

You're welcome. Personally, I'm still living in the Bayko era ...

That is a 'blast from the past'. I had forgotten all about it but had a set when I was young. Several lots on eBay at the moment. I am surprised some H&S freak hasn't complained about all those metal rods.

At least you had to fall on Bayko for it to make you blind - and it was only the roof tiles that sent you mad. I also have (the remains of) a Formcraft 8" Platform kit (about 3" once used on a NG layout, don't believe anyone could stay sane after more than that) ...

Wally, late of this parish used to use carbody filler in the moulds. It seemed to work quite well, I think he used a little bit of filler as an adhisive to join the bits together.

Years ago, I built a small plat-layers hut out of Formcraft, it takes about as long as building the full size object as just like the real thing you could only do so many courses of bricks in one go. Because the MEK (in those days) made it go soft so you had to leave it to set if you wanted it to stay square. It was a reasonable little building with properly bonded bricks, but I never attempted anything larger.

Will, I think we ought to found a "Formcraft Users Anonymous" to help other ex-users recuperate. I noticed a job-lot on EvilBay a couple of days ago, and almost felt an irresistible urge to reach for the tweezers!

FUA, um, perhaps not.
