June Meeting

Postby CDGFife » Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:08 pm

Despite holidays (and a layout delivery to Norway!) impacting attendance, we still had a good turnout for today's meeting of the East Group.

The morning comprised mutual modelling with members doing various modelling including kit building, tree making, Rolling stock building and loco work. The afternoon was taken up with a talk from James Batchelor on "Electronics for the Suspicious", followed by the chance for each of us to build some stripboard modules (some for the first time) and some helpful advise.

Here's a short clip of Jim Summers' 0-6-0 Burntisland East Dock Pilot having had a "stay alive" capacitor added by Nigel Cliffe, running over a paper track break on Nigel's test track. Now for some further testing on the East Dock itself!
