Burntisland at Wigan Finescale

Postby CDGFife » Mon Oct 03, 2016 3:06 pm

Just back from an enjoyable weekend with Burntisland at the Wigan Finescale show. Layout ran well and saw much benefit from the hard work everyone has put in this year in solving a lot of the operational issues whilst at the same time adding three extension boards for the Roundhouse/works area.
Lots of positive comments and I felt a great show put on.

Here's some pics:

East end of the layout and new works boards with mock ups and in progress buildings

Looking East from the West End

The West Dock and Coal hoists

Interested to hear plenty of comments that "it's nice to see a bit of work in progress at an exhibition".!

And very splendid to see this masterpiece again.
My wife was tickled by the coal loading chute and the explanation frae Mr Crompton.
So now I ken two P4 layouts will be in Glasgow in February next year, I must get my health improved a bit mind.
