Postby Tim V » Wed Jul 15, 2009 6:05 pm

The Bristol Group are:

Going to the RM Web day on the 18 July
Going to Cam Rail 19 July. P4 layout Horselunges (ex EM) will be there.

may see some of you there.

And hopefully see loads of you at Railwells this August, where we are supporting Bristol Group member Robin Gay with his model of Rolvenden.

The group regularly goes out for curries, seen here on Richard Lane's birthday bash at the former Miners Arms in Farrington Gurney. The WAGs and SPROGs curry
night :!: On the left is the former window where you could buy your train tickets. The Great Western had an ticket agent in the pub.

And here is part of the group, operating Robin Gay's Rolvenden layout at Railwells.

A contingent of Bristol group members will be going to the Warley show on the Sunday, hopefully see other members there.

We may also be going for a curry afterwards in nearby Birmingham.

Those interested in God's Wonderful Railway may care to visit the GWSG stand. I shall be there on the Sunday and anyone visiting the GSWG stand will be given a warm welcome (even if you don't model the GWR - we're very broad-minded!)

Presumably, particularly if you're Russian, Indian, Irish or from Bristol & Exeter ;-)

I was very tempted to add a quip on these broad lines myself as soon as I read what I had written.

But the GWR also ran lines with gauges of 1' 11.5", 2'3" and 2'6" (so does that make them narrow-minded as well?)

Which is rather straying from the point that the Warley show does have a broad appeal....

See you next week :!:
