Interesting that the track sections drop into position simultaneously, but are restored to their upright position in cascade. Perhaps they drop under gravity after an initial shove, but there's insufficient power in the mechanism to elevate both at the same time.

Surely Brain Harrap must have tried modelling something similar :D
