Scalefour News No 174 of September 2011 includes an article I wrote on the construction of flat bottom track mainly using Colin Craig's components. You can also find three articles that Colin wrote on the topic on the web site of the Manchester Model Railway Society at www.mmrs.co.uk/ttechnical-articles/modern-permanent-way I also mentioned a bit about flat bottom track in the article about the building of Elcot Road which was in Scalefour News 209.

I found the pandrol clips on the Eactoscale fast track bases to be a bit undernourished. Colin has now produced 3D printed ones which are closer to scale but the construction takes a lot longer

My demonstration on D&E Modelling at Wells this weekend will include something on the modelling of flat bottom track and I will have samples of plain track and a turnout available.

When you start on the concrete sleepered turnouts, remember the joiners and boltheads.....
