There used to be a diagram (cant find it on here) that showed track spacings for parallel track runs and clearances etc. I am looking to find out what the minimum spacing is for parallel track, in a yard. Any ideas or if you can locate the diagram.
Thanks
Pete

Re: Parallel Track spacing
Hello Pete,
Is this any use to you? A lot depends on the period you are modelling, and the constraints of the site - yards in built up areas tend to be cramped as the land is expensive and may not be available, and elf and safety may regulate matters in modern image.

I have found this digest sheet - 62.0 very useful, not just for track spacing but for all sorts of other prototypical dimensions. It is of course on the Digest CD that has been given to all new members in recent years, and in paper form for those from earlier times as well as being available in the members area.
We may have members who will be able to advise on areas that have been updated since that digest sheet was written.
