This photo was taken in central Queensland nine days ago, just after the floods in that part of the state. It's apparently the main coal-carrying line near Comet, west of Rockhampton and about 600km NW of Brisbane. A reminder that you have to be careful when you decide how to stick down your ballast.

The Queensland lines carry very heavy coal trains, they need heavy rail, but don't forget that its 3ft 6in gauge so that makes it look heavier in the photo when you are accustomed to standard gauge.
