Fylde Area Group (January 2020)

Postby mike_t_norris » Tue Feb 04, 2020 9:29 pm

The 16th January saw our usual Run & Natter meeting with 7 members present and apologies from two. The usual general and wide discussions ensued with updates on the health of some of our longer serving members. Peter Gibb has unfortunately had to moving into a home as he was becoming too much of a burden for his wife currently, we will wait to see how this develops and wish him well. Also Graham Seed has not been able to join us for some time and unfortunately does not seem to be getting any better despite numerous trips to the hospital and specialists, he had been hoping to get to our Christmas meeting but had been unable to make it, again we wish him well and hope it can get along to a meeting before too long.

Karl brought along a number of coaches he has been upgrading for a client and very nice they look, along with a Panier tank, all had a good, somewhat out of area, run on Preston.

Out next meeting is a ‘Run & Natter’ on the revised date of Thursday 13th February (NOT USUAL THIRD THRSDAY), starting at 7:30pm for 8:00pm. Please contact myself the organiser (details on the Blue Sheet) for more information.

SAD NEWS - Peter Gibb
I am sorry to report that the Society and the Area Group has lost one of its long term members, Peter Gibb died peacefully yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

He had been in a home for some weeks and had been unable to attend the last few meetings, on the 30th January I was informed he had been taken in hospital and recently had been treated for very low blood pressure, followed by palliative care as he was not recovering.

Should anyone require further information please mail me 'off list'.
