In building his
Great Jackson Street layout Ralph drew some turnout timbers with the rivet holes pre-made. The primary purpose was not having to try and punch the hole in the right place and inevitably get some of them wrong and all the hassle that leads to. A side benefit of the design is that the surrounding wood acts as a jig during the construction of the turnout.

The initial B6 was further developed so that it could be made available to others in time for Railwells. This has now just been joined by B7 and B8 versions. If you're interested in them they are available from myself at
EBMA Hobby & Craft or from Jeremy in the Stores or at Scaleforum.
