Palatine Models Stretcher Brackets

From previous posts I see that some interest has been shown in the etch we used on Slattocks for stretcher brackets (S4 News 182). This was produced as a one off but since we probably need to get another etch for ourselves very shortly I wondered if anyone else would like one whilst I get a rerun. If there is sufficient demand I can get it added to the Palatine website but given the history of the solebar plate etch (a dead duck) I think this is highly unlikely and that this will be just a one-off run again.

If anyone is interested please post here or pm me with your request. I have no idea of the cost right now, sorry.

I should just clarify that this is only going to be the etch for the brackets and not for the stretcher bars themselves. Mike Bolton etched these himself, he has facilities to do his own circuit boards and he used that for them - they will not be available and you need to source those yourself. See page 11 of S4 News and there is a photo at the bottom of the page of the etch.

There are 80 brackets on each etch. If you are doing 2 stretcher bars you will need 4 per turnout but allow for some waste as these are very fiddly unless you make some jigs like Mike did.

They do look good! Do you (or anyone for that matter) know how they compare with the offerings from Ambis or Masokits, either in terms of assembly or prototypes on which they are based?

I am afraid I have no idea how they compare. I bought some Ambis ones and after taking a look at them I decided to use the Mike Norris method for Gt. Jackson St. but I think if you look at the S4 News article there is a picture of a prototype there and you can decide for yourself.
