The summer holidays are mostly over and the evenings are starting to creep in. Guildex was a good show as always and Expo EM north is rapidly looming, followed a week later by Scaleforum. The show season has well and truly started.

FREE POSTAGE

In the last newsletter, we temporarily reduced our minimum for free postage to £100 for all UK orders. For the first time, we introduced free postage on export for orders over £150 (excluding orders with items that need to be couriered). Please note shipping is calculated on the price after discounts are applied. We have now decided to continue this indefinitely.

PAYMENT METHODS

A reminder that we have changed the method by which we accept card payments. It is now handled directly by Worldpay (who are our card merchants). This gives our customers the benefit of improved card security and also allows us to process orders faster.

We have been hitting over 95% same day (Monday to Friday) shipments of all orders placed before noon for Courier and 2pm for Royal Mail. The balance of which have been a mix between stock issues and payment issues. The above change should remove the payment problems and enable us to further improve this service.

This means that both Card and Paypal payments are paid as you place your order, so if you find you have missed something off an order or ordered an incorrect item, please e-mail or telephone as soon as possible. If the order has not already been shipped, we will endeavour to make the necessary changes. We do not recommend leaving a message on the answer phone for this. Better to leave it 10 minutes and call back.

If for any reason your order payment is not completed then you can look at your orders under the "My Account" tab. There you will see the status and if unpaid be able to make the payment.

EXHIBITION NEWS

We will be returning to the Wakefied show on 18/19/20 November. We are pleased to be returning to this show after a few years of absence.


We have no new product to announce this time.


STOCK ISSUES


We are still awaiting deliveries of several sizes of brass tubes, it seems like the supplier did not receive the order (again). They are now underway.


PRICE INCREASES / EXCHANGE RATES

We are holding off price rises from exchange rates for as long as possible, but are having to respond to supplier price rises on high turn over items. We have had to increase prices on all Iwata products, some quite considerably. We are still offering their airbrushes at about 10% below recommended retail price.

Balancing this our export customers will be benefiting from this and getting lower prices.

SPECIAL OFFER

We have a very special offer this month and it will be for a very limited period. We are offering 10% of all saws. This includes razor saws, piercing saws and frames (including Eclipse Branded).

These offers are for retail sales only and are not available for long. They are only valid for orders placed before the end of day on Friday 30 September 2016. For all offers please enter SAW16 in the Coupon box on checkout and do not forget to give the show name for collection in the comment box if appropriate.
