A warm hello from all at Eileen's Emporium. Spring is coming fast and there are a number of great shows coming up.
It has been some time since the last newsletter mainly because Derek had an operation in February. All is well now and he is still obeying medical advice to avoid lifting and we all hope to see him back in action at York and subsequent shows.
Hopefully we have maintained our standards of service during this difficult time, but if we have not, please forgive us.
30 YEARS OF EILEEN'S
This April we will be celebrating 30 years since Eileen Pitchforth started Eileen's Emporium. We still see Eileen on a regular basis at exhibitions close to her home town of Leeds. I am sure that you are all as grateful as I am for her creating and developing this business.
NEW PRODUCTS
Not much in the way of new products. We have been asked frequently for small hand drills so are now stocking the offering from Expo Tools. This is good for drills from 0.5mm upwards and looks to be quite good.
OBSOLETE PRODUCTS
We have reluctantly decided to drop the Model Mates Dyes range. The manufacturer is no longer making the larger sizes, changed the small bottle size and has changed ordering arrangements. We still feel these are excellent products but it is no longer commercially viable for us to maintain a workable stock level.
Accordingly, we will be offering clearance prices on the products that remain in stock. We will endeavour to remove stock from the website as we run out.
EXHIBITIONS
We are returning to two shows this year that we have not been to for some time. Namely, Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace and Chatham.
STOCK LEVELS
We are please to say we have no serious problems at this time.
SPECIAL OFFER
In our current sale we are offering 25% of the entire Model Mates products while stock last.
Please note that if these offers are claimed for collection at a show, we will require pre-payment in order to apply the discount.
These offers are for orders placed via the website before the end of April 2016. For all offers please quote MM16 in the comments box on checkout and do not forget to give the show name for collection if appropriate. Please do not use the discount code box as this does not work. The discount will not show on our web system, but will be taken from the payment and show on the formal invoice shipped with the goods.
Full details of all our other products are on our website.
Derek, Anita and Matt
Forthcoming Exhibitions:
Do not forget that you can beat the queues at shows by pre-ordering through the website. There is a checkout option for this. You can choose to pay through the website or on collection. Please state in the 'Comments' box which show you wish to collect the order from.
Please allow at least 1 week for pre-orders, 2 weeks for Guildex - Telford, Scale Model World, Scaleforum, Railex, Expo EM, York and Warley.
