It was great to meet so many customers at York. We are now looking forward to a high concentration of shows over the next few weeks. Looking ahead to later in the year, we are pleased to inform you that we will be returning to the Wigan show this year (3/4 October). The East London Finescale Show returns this year (7/8 November) and we are pleased to be attending. However, it will be a reduced stand owing to a clash with the IPMS show at Telford. If you are not already aware the Manchester show returns this year and we are pleased to be attending, again it will be a small smaller stand as we will also be at Reading that weekend (Manchester 5/6 December, Reading 5 December).

12BA TAPS

We have finally solved the problem of 12BA taps and have a large batch on order in all 3 cuts. These are due in around 27 April. We are taking now taking pre-orders and have also included them in our special offer this month - note this is not an April Fool gag.

We are also now also listing BA taps in sets of 3 (Taper Second and Bottom) in sets of 3 offering about 10% saving over individual taps.

If this works we will consider doing the same for Metric Taps.

NEW PRODUCTS

We now have in stock the Green Scene light weight ballast in N 00 and 0 sizes. This is nicely scaled and being light weight it is easy on the postage, however the thickness of the pack still forces them into the Small Packet postage rate.

SHOW PRE ORDER

We are seeing an increase in the number of show pre-orders, which is really good for both customers and ourselves. It ensures that there will be stock available and also allows you to pick up the order at a quiet time.

Pre-payment is not necessary, but it does enable a quick and simple handover. There is a path in the checkout process on the website for show collection, either pre-paid or not.

STOCK LEVELS

We are still waiting for delivery of Eclipse blades, the number out of stock has increased. These seem to be taking ages from the manufacturer and we are constantly chasing our supplier.

Items that are on longer lead times and have been on order since before Christmas include:

1.5mm X 1.0mm and 1.5mm x 0.5mm Brass Tubes. We are now informed there is a problem with the tool. It is virtually antique and it is not economic to repair. Reluctantly I have accepted that these will come in slightly oversize (supplier quoted 1.52mm). I will wait to see how well they telescope with the larger sizes. Delivery date still unknown.

SPECIAL OFFER

Many of our customers have been waiting for 12BA taps, so this months special offer includes these items. We are offering 20% discount on both individual 12BA taps and the 12BA tap sets. We are also offering 10% off all other Taps and Dies, including tap and die holders and the newly listed Tap Sets.

12BA and smaller taps and Metric taps below M2 are round and best held in pin vices which are not part of the offer.

This applies to all orders placed before the end of April. The discount will not show on our web system, but will be taken from the payment and show on the formal invoice shipped with the goods.
