Holidays are mostly over, children back at school and exhibitions coming fast an furious. This month we have Telford, Expo EM north and Scaleforum (Note new venue).
We have added the Hornby Magazine, Great Electric Train Show 12th & 13th October at Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire to our list.
January will be fun as the Bristol O Gauge show (26 Jan) will clash with Southampton (25.26 Jan) and we are not structured to handle 2 shows at the same time. We are confirmed for Southampton, but still hope to be at Bristol, albeit with a reduced stand, so pre-ordering is advised.
Special Offer
Last months special offer on the Watchmakers Vice was so successful that we ran out of extra mounting plates, as did our supplier. We are also very low on stock of the vices and more are coming on the same shipment. They should be with us towards the end of this month.
The special offer for September 2013 is on Adhesives. All Vital Bond, Zap, Devcon, Araldite, UHU, Copydex and Evostik are 10% off. This includes Canopy Glue.
All these offers are for web orders only (including web orders for show collection), please enter "STICKYSEPT" in the comments box on checkout. This applies until the end of September 2013. The discount will not show on out web system but will be taken from the payment and show on the formal invoice shipped with the goods.
EM Mint Gauge
We have found a small supply of Mint Gauges in EM. Normally retailing at £14, we are offering these at only £10 while stocks last.
Chassis2 Availability
You may have seen the recent article in British Railway Modelling on the Avonside Works Chassis2. This has resulted in higher than expected demand and we have run out of parts for the Superpro (7mm) version. These should be in by the end of the month, so if you have ordered, please be patient.
We have reasonable stocks of the 4mm Lite and Pro versions so we do not expect to have any supply problems.
Keeping Postage Down
If you are wondering what products cause higher postage, or products we are unable to export here is a brief summary.
Any product on the Post Office banned list will be sent by courier and therefore cost more. This includes all liquids, glues, solvents etc. We are unable to ship these products abroad.
Any product over 450mm long (600mm for export) will cost more, if you do not need long lengths of metal sections please order the shorter versions. We may ship such items by post or by courier.
Soldering and other Courses
We have now concluded our run of soldering courses and will hold another one only if we get enough requests.
We are now considering running short courses in brass kitbuilding and in basic scratchbuilding.
If you are interested please contact us to register your interest and give us some idea of your needs.
Full details of all our other products are on our website.
