Sand Blasters and Spray Booths

Sandblasters are still in stock, however our supplier of Spray Booths has run out and more should arrive during April. They are still available to pre-order.

Postage

Royal mail have increased packet prices from April 2013 with very little publicity. We have regretfully had to increase our postal rates. In some cases we have decreased them (Large Letters between 500g and 750g down by £1 and packages between 750g and 1kg down by £1).

The biggest impact this has is on longer lengths of materials. Royal mail have introduced a new category of "Medium Packet" covering items over 450mm long up to 610mm long. The Post Office counter price of this new category is £4.80 (up to 1kg) and we have to add VAT on top of that. Over 1kg it is £7.50 and we have to add VAT, so we will now ship all items over 1kg and or 610mm (after packing) by courier.

Soldering Course

There are still a couple of places available on both 13th April and 8th June.

We will cover: Using 188, 145 and 70 degree solders, soldering for strength, soldering of cosmetic parts, avoiding excess solder, soldering white metal, soldering electrical connections, rail droppers etc.

The courses will be held at weekends in the vicinity of Gloucester. The cost will be £60 per head, and any equipment used in the course will be offered to attendees at a discount.

You will be encouraged to bring your own tools and models, but equipment can be provided if required.

The Royal Mail new method of parcel / package prices can be a little confusing if you have a package that in size falls within one category, yet weighs enough to fall into another....
