This months special offer on packets of Evergreen plastics and Slaters plastics. We are offering 5% off any mix of 5 products, or 10% for any mix of 10 products. Single pieces of Evergreen (part numbers beginning EG and ending S) do not count towards the quantity, or get the discount. Packets of 10 Slaters sheets (part numbers beginning SLT and ending T) are already discounted and will count as 10 items, but as they are already discounted by 10% will not attract a further discount.

Website Upgrade

We have been working hard to upgrade some aspects of the website, in particular to give a more realistic estimate of postage costs, and to remove VAT from exports where it is not applicable. The upgrades will also make it easier for us to upgrade images and photographs of products which we will address over the next few months.

The most noticeable effect will be that larger or heavier products will show a more realistic estimate of postage (correct about 95% of the time) and will also show where Courier shipping is mandatory. The postage rates have not changed, just the information presented during the order.

These upgrades have caused some issues which have affected a small number of customers and the symptom was a problem in not being offered a choice of delivery methods and not being allowed to progress without making the non-existant choice.

We believe all the issues are now fixed. If you have had this problems please accept our apologies. If you are currently having problems please let us know, we can help in a number of ways.

Soldering Course

We have had sufficient interest to run another course and will be contacting those interested as soon as we have fixed some dates. We still plan to run at least another 2 courses this year.

We will cover: Using 188, 145 and 70 degree solders. Soldering for strength, soldering of cosmetic parts, avoiding excess solder, soldering white metal, solderingelectrical connections, rail droppers etc.

The courses will be held at weekends in the vicinity of Gloucester. The cost will be £60 per head, and any equipment used in the course will be offered to attendees at a discount.

You will be encouraged to bring your own tools and models, but equipment can be provided if required.

Sand Blasters

Deliveries of the new Sand Blasters (AIRSAND) is still awaited. They should arrive any time now.

We now have stock of the abrasive material in 3 pack sizes, see AIRSAND1 (100g), AIRSAND2 (500g) and AIRSAND3 (1kg)

To get the full potential from these we are now stocking a more powerful compressor (AIRTWINCOMP) featuring twin pistons and a 3 litre tank at £125. We have reduced the prices of our Economy Compressor (was £75 including Hose, now £60 plus hose at £10). Delivery on all compressors is £10 UK Courier.

We have added 2 new shows to our calendar in the forseeable future.

Brighton Model World on 22/23/24 February is now on the list.

Also we will be attending a brand new show this year in Huntingdon, 9/10 March.
