The autumn show season is now rapidly approaching and the nights are drawing in.

We apologise for the short interruption to service recently, this is due to a death in the family. We will be closed on 13th September for the funeral but apart from that will operate normally.


Postage

Out attempt at keeping the postage cost down by using City Link proved to be a total disaster. We have now returned to using Royal Mail. The service from Royal Mail is pretty good, but the prices are now very expensive. When we recently increased our postage rates it was on the basis of City Link pricing. We will look for another alternative, but the likelyhood is that we will have to stick to Royal Mail to maintain the standards we want to achive, so prices may have to go up again soon by about £1 per order. Customer feedback on this subject is welcomed.

We would like to remind you that all our individual HSS drills are Dormer branded and of significantly better quality than the Boxed sets or the cheaper Carbon Steel drills. Our Carbon Steel drill are the same quality as some HSS drills sold by other suppliers and are a much more economical solution if you are prone to breaking them, which is why we only stock them in sizes up to 1mm.

Our Taps and Dies are wherever possible from Apex. Apex no longer supply 12BA and smaller so we have to get these wherever we can. We had a problem recently getting 12BA but this seems to be overcome now. We are currently waiting for a delivery of 8BA from Apex, but we should have stock of all other sizes.

Small Metric taps and dies are not so popular and we do not stock in great depth, so please check availability.

Exhibition News

For the first time we are covering Expo EM north. This is at a new venue this year so please do not go to Slaithwaite.

We regret that we will not be able to attend Wakefield show 30 November - 1/2 December 2012 as the show has changed dates and clashes with Reading. We simply do not have the stock and manpower to cover 2 shows at the same time.
