I have just laid my P4 test track ( just an LH B6 in a straight track turning onto 1000mm radius curve ) out of ply and rivet and am contemplating fitting stretcher bars to the turnout ( which is already on the board and cannot be removed ) I have 2 options to hand, a C&L stretcher / tie bar which looks too flimsy to be soldered to the blades and a mystery etching that I got from a friend.
Can anyone identify who made the etching and have any instructions for fitting please? The only clue is the words "SCALE PARTS FOR MODEL RAILWAYS (OTTAWA)" etched at one side and there is a small piece of very thin double sided pcb ( not pictured ) for insulation between the blades.

Just found the downloadable file and it is miles better! Thanks Rob.
The thing looks a bit too fiddley for me at the moment so I think I'll go for the basic pivoted pin and insulated bar method first time round!

Thanks for this thread gents,
I have had one of these etches in the bottom of "the box" for years, now I know what it is!

Couple of photographs to give a better idea of how the whole assembly should look....

Re: Instructions for these mystery etched stretcher bars?
I'm wondering if this is the same etch that (I think...!) I bought from the Society Stores many years ago...? I found out later that the etch (the one that I have) is for flat bottomed point work, rather than bullhead....

Trouble with this etch is that it has rather a lot of dimensional errors and correcting it is rather fiddly, refer article by Steve Hall in MRJ 115.
