loose heel switches - heel blocks?

On the subject of loose heel switches, do UK (GWR, etc.) prototypes have heel blocks? As per the picture below.

If so, then a simple tiny etch for modelling those solves both the reliable pivot and the electrical connection issues. Permanently!

I use that technique for all my US style FB rail turnouts and I believe the same method (and even the same parts) should work for BH rails. Just the part of the etch on the bottom right of the picture does the job.

I can send a sample in an envelope if any one would like to check it out and report back to the forum.

The answer, for the most part is No. Most UK pivot heel designs use chairs rather than blocks in that style.
