Turnout Construction-Accuracy Answer

Postby Proto87Stores » Sat Dec 19, 2020 10:33 pm

I realize checking the numbers is not a popularity gaining item on forums. But I would like to point out that when assessing the needed accuracy of turnout construction, P4 is not the problem many automatically assume it is.

A successful turnout construction needs to maintain the specified standard running clearance and tolerances both within the guarded flange ways and between the running rails. It should be noted that the "no problem to make" already promised 00-SF versions of the product line mentioned actually have far smaller running clearance to hold accurately to specification than the "probably too accurate to make" P4 versions.
