PC Methfix transfers
PC Methfix transfers
Has anybody else experienced a milky white discolourtion of the paintwork when using these transfers? I am following the instructions exactly but always have the same trouble. This applies to both enamel and acrylic paint surfaces. Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Strait answer is No (on traditional oil based enamels)
But as it happens to you, a little more info about how you did it might help us see whats happening. Questions that come to mind are:-.
Does the discolouration disappear with time?
How wide spread is it?
How long had the paint been dry before you applied the transfers
What proposition of meths to water did you use?

I would add to the questions
Matt, satin or gloss paint?
How old are the transfers?

Have you tried the meths/water mix on the paint without transfers?
Re: PC Methfix transfers
the paint used was Railmatch BR black, from an aerosol. I allowed about 5 days from painting the loco to applying transfers (I'm a slow worker!) I haven't tried the water/ meths mix on its own, and no, the problem didn't fade / go away with time
