Narrow Gauge advice

Postby Dave Cooper » Sat Oct 04, 2014 3:13 pm

Hello again

I was just wondering if there was any P4-type advice on narrow gauge modelling. I'm currently using Peco N gauge track (009) for that part of the layout which is OK but isn't that realistic...

I think this scales to approx. 2' 3" on the prototype ? Would this cover any of the Welsh lines or North Devon /Somerset maybe ? (I've just ridden the Lynmouth area short line but forgot to ask the gauge).

Also, I would like to convert a Graham Farish 08 Diesel shunter (N) to narrow gauge steam outline. Something like a Pug or Hunslett maybe.

Thanks for any guidance.

Dave

Dave will have to become a member to read that :D

It's a discussion about the interest in re-establishing a specific group to discuss narrow guage modelling to p4 track and wheel standards.

It may be, Dave, your interest is timely.

Oops, sorry, I didn't notice it was the guest book.
Keith
PS. The other does not need to be in the members' lounge, could perhaps be moved to the readable area, eg in "Trains,: model and prototype"
